Empactis draws on the experience of industry leaders as well as a multitude of experience and skills in business and employee health. The team includes; Dr Steve Boorman, author of the Boorman Report and David Frost CBE the Ex Director General of the Chambers of Commerce and co author of the Government sickness absence review. In addition, our board includes a range of diverse skills in business, technology and health.
Matthew has extensive business experience having worked in production environments, product development, sales and at board level with a number of employers during his early business years.
He has worked in a diverse range of businesses, ranging from water sports clothing to medical technology, development and consulting. He totally understands that customer focus is the key to delivering technology and services that really work for the user and the customer.
David was the Director-General of the British Chambers of Commerce, where he represented and promoted the interests of 100,000 businesses within the UK, between 2003 and 2011. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive of Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and Business Link and the Chairman of Enterprise UK.
David is currently Chairman of the Studio Schools Trust and Chairman of the National Network of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs). He is the Executive Chairman of the National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education. David was awarded a CBE in 2011 for services to business and holds an Honorary Doctorate from Birmingham City University. He is also the co-author of the Governments Health at Work review.
Matthew has been involved with Empactis since the beginning, initially as an investor and a Director and then following the successful sale of PMI Health Group Ltd in 2015, he became Chairman.
As well as bringing extensive knowledge of the employee health market to the business, he has a proven track record of sales, profit growth and turnaround skills, having previously built-up and exited Anderton Concrete Products LTD and tripling the P&L of the already Successful PMI Health Group. He totally understands that to have a successful business you need to deliver a high quality product and service that the client wants and to do this you need to have the right people, doing the right jobs and following good processes.
