Manchester’s Central Convention Centre hosted the Annual NHS Providers conference recently. Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester gave a powerful speech describing the transformation in health and social care being aspired to in the Greater Manchester model.

Out today! The Business in the Community 2018 Mental Health at Work report, which findings include although 85% of managers acknowledge that employee wellbeing is their responsibility, only 30% receive any training. Ahead of World Mental Health Day on the 10th October, Business in the Community are calling on employers to talk about mental health at work, train line managers and take action!

This exciting conference drew a diverse audience from Canada, Europe, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia. The audience was an interesting mix of specialist doctors from a wide range of medical disciplines, and medical administrators running health organisations that varied from rural community hospitals to large urban regional units.

This one-day training seminar was held in central London on 23rd April with 19 delegates attending and a waiting list for a second event (which will be held in May)! The audience was mainly Occupational Health professionals, but a good mix of clinicians, managers and service commissioners.
